Donation and sponsorship
Why make a donation and patronage for the Schlumpf Collection?
The National Automobile Museum restores vehicles in need. Contribute to the maintenance of the masterpieces on display in the museum by making a donation to the museum in support of the Schlumpf collection.
A donation terminal is available in the museum where it is possible to pay by credit card. All donations are valuable in the restoration of the vehicles from the Schlumpf Collection.

Help the museum restore the 1910 Lorraine-Dietrich VHH to its original condition. This vehicle has many aesthetic and technical details and is one of the finest pre-1914 automobiles in the museum’s collection. The Fondation du Patrimoine is organising a Gala Dinner on Saturday 7 October at the Musée de l’Automobile.
i support this projectThe Royale ‘Esders’ Roadster is one of the museum’s showpieces. It is a reconstruction of one of the six Bugatti Royales that belonged to the magnate Armand Esders. The car has been out of action for 20 years, and the museum plans to restore it so that it can be driven again in the years to come.

Would you like to donate an object to the museum?
The museum carefully considers each proposal for a donation in the light of its acquisition policy. For reasons of space, very few donations can be accepted.
Procedure
1) Download and complete the “Preliminary donation proposal” document
Note: All donations must be unconditional
2) An internal museum committee meets every two months or so to study the proposals. At the end of this process, you will be given one of the following answers:
- The donation is refused;
- The donation is accepted;
- The donation requires further information and/or the opinion of an additional scientific committee.
If the donation is accepted, it will either be proposed to the Regional Scientific Acquisition Commission for inclusion in the statutory inventory if the opinion is favourable or it will become study material in accordance with the circular note of 9 July 2012.
